Registration and Cancellation Policy

Our policies are subject to change without notice.

Information Form

Parents/Guardians are responsible for completing our online information form and submitting it before the first day of the activity that their child is attending. This information form assumes the parents’/guardian’s responsibility for providing detailed information regarding all medical conditions (such as allergies, diabetes, etc.), as well as behavioral and/developmental conditions (such as ADHD, autism, etc.). All children who are prescribed epi-pens, inhalers, or monitors are required to have them on their person at all times with no exceptions. Parents/Guardians assume full responsibility for their child’s medical conditions.

If anything concerning your child’s health changes, it is the parents/guardians responsibility to ensure that changes are made on the child’s permission form. In the future, for any activities that your child attends at the ArtZ Den, we will check to ensure that the completed information is less than 12 months old and still current – unless we have been notified otherwise.

Registration Process

Registration for our classes and workshops can be completed online, in person, or by calling the store at  226-738-0911. We ask that students only register for classes that are appropriate to their age (or experience for adults) written in the class descriptions.

Missed Classes

Unfortunately, missed classes cannot be made up and no refund or credit will be given for the missed class. For a withdrawal after the first class of a workshop, we will reimburse you with a prorated studio credit that may be used within the first 12 months provided all supplies on loan for the class are returned at the time of withdrawal.

Occasionally a class will be canceled due to low enrollment. In this case, we will give you a refund or allow you to apply the class fee to another class of your choosing.

*If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, we will arrange a make-up class.

Refunds for Withdrawals

We will kindly issue a full refund if a registered student drops out of a class/workshop at least one week prior to the start date of the session. This allows us time to refill the spot with another interested student.

Payment

Full payment for our classes/workshops/camps is due at the time of registration. This secures your spot as well as enables us to adequately prepare for the event. We strongly encourage you to make a secure online payment through our registration system. You are also welcome to pay by credit card over the phone, or pop into the store to pay. We accept cash, debit, credit, or e-transfers.

Clothing

Comfortable clothing is highly recommended for all of our classes, workshops, etc. Please be aware that although we do provide aprons, art is messy! We want you to have fun and experiment without fear of damaging your clothing. Old clothing is advised as sometimes the mediums we use do not wash out easily.

Illness

If your child is too ill to go to school, we request that you not bring your child to art class that day either. We reserve the right to restrict admission or send a child home if they are unwell and could infect those around them. Likewise if you as an adult are unwell, kindly stay home, or if you are unsure, please wear a mask to protect others.

*Inclement Weather

Poor winter weather can cause class cancellations. Please check our Facebook or Instagram for notice of cancellations. We will notify you individually of make-up class dates. If you are in doubt about the weather, feel free to call us at 226-738-0911 and leave a message if we do not answer. We will return your call as soon as possible!

Food Allergies

We try to be allergy conscious for the sake of our young artists. Parents/Guardians are responsible to ensure the safety of their child by making a note of any allergies or medical conditions on the Information Form that must accompany their child’s first registration.

For our birthday parties or any private bookings please be advised that any outside food that is brought into the studio must be peanut and tree nut free.

Behavioral Expectations

We believe that creating, whether as an individual or in a classroom space, should be fun and relaxing. Therefore as participants in programs at the ArtZ Den, we expect that all individuals will treat our classrooms as a safe space. We expect that participants will not harm themselves or others physically or verbally. As staff, we will do our best to make the ArtZ Den a safe space for all. Unfortunately, sometimes an individual will feel they cannot abide by this understanding. In this situation, we may ask that individual to leave if their behavior is making others uncomfortable. If the behavior continues, they will be asked to not return and no refund will be given.
